Zack Greinke was named the AL's Cy Young Award winner on Tuesday after receiving 25 of 28 first-place votes.

No arguments here, as Greinke was the most dominant pitcher in the American League all year long. Greinke led the league with a 2.16 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, while placing second with 242 strikeouts and six complete games. Even though he managed "just" 16 wins, tying Brandon Webb (2006) for the least wins by a Cy Young award winner, he had six no-decisions in which he allowed two runs or less, a clear indictment of Kansas City's pathetic offense, defense and bullpen. The 26-year-old right-hander logged 26 quality starts in 2009 -- only second-place finisher Felix Hernandez had more (29). Justin Verlander, CC Sabathia and Roy Halladay rounded out the ballot.
